Prof Md. Anwar Hussain

Prof. Md. Anwar Hussain did his B.Sc. Physics from Guwahati, Assam and joined Institute of Radio Physics and Electronics, University of Calcutta and completed his B.Tech and M.Tech from that institute and joined North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology as Lecturer in the Dept of Electronics and Communication Engg way back in 1987. He completed his PhD from Jadavpur University in between. Later he went on to be Assistant Professor and presently he is Professor and of the Department Head. He has been the founder pillar of the department since 1986-87 to till date. He has worked in a lot of different fields of Electronics during his academic tenure. Any way all the papers I have with him are mainly in the field of image processing where he has guided me since my B.Tech days as well as when I joined the institute under him as lecturer. He has taught almost all subjects during his teaching tenure. Any way his major fields are Communication Engg, Signal Processing and Soft Computing.
